Amongst the many services we offer is that of re lacquering brass when needed. (old barometers where usually lacquered to protect the instrument) For this we have searched for the ingredients of an old instrument lacquer including dragoon’s blood!

If you have a barometer that you are considering having restoreed by us please DO NOT SEND IT!! But do e-mail or post us a couple of pictures and your details, we can often indicate costs and if you wish to consider us for restoration we can advise method of bringing it to us. We supply written details and special bags for transit by car to us here or can often arrange special collection and delivery throughout most of the UK. We even restore for USA and other countries on occassions but PLEASE contact us first.
